Roulette Variations
Most of the rules of Roulette stay the same, no matter which variation you choose. There are only a few small changes on each, which are highlighted here:
- American Roulette: The Roulette you are probably familiar with, this features the double zero wheel. The odds on a single number are 35:1 because of the two zeroes. See our tutorial to find out the rules about this game. Why not try a game of Roulette at the 50 Stars Casino.
- European Roulette: Almost exactly the same as American Roulette, except that there is only one zero on the wheel. While this does not seem like a huge change, it actually cuts the house advantage from 5.26% down to 2.63%, less than half the advantage. There are also special bets called ‘call bets’ that you can simply say out loud, and the dealer will be happy to place the bet for you. This version is really only played in offline casinos in Europe, but it is still important to explain it a bit here. Here is a handy chart that will help you see the call bets:
- French Roulette: The same as European Roulette, only the whole thing is played in French.
