The value of having fun
The casino player community is as diversified as a deck of cards stacked with jokers. Some know for sure they have the capability to predict roulette spins – under the right conditions, that is. Others know about safe systems for craps or blackjack or any other casino game including Keno. A few are convinced that casino gambling is a waste of time since the house always has the edge.
Well, it is true that casinos tend to spread games that earn them some income. Anything else would probably be a short-lived enterprise. But this holds just as true for other establishments, such as cinemas or sports arenas. You pay some for the entertainment, and the entertainment is your return. It is a fair trade, one kind of value in exchange for another.
Casino games are fun, and having fun is what we pay for, isn’t it? The possibility to cash in a win from time to time just adds to the excitement. David G. Schwartz wrote a fine piece on this.
Between friends, the house edge in craps is really all but negligible – if you avoid the worst bets.
